matcha avo lime smoothie

Mom said to eat your greens;
I say drink them.


Let’s be real, I'm not always in the mood to eat my vegetables but smoothies... im always in the mood for a damn smoothie that’s for certain. Before you knock this, try it. I used to hate 'green' smoothies because most of the ones I've had tasted too green. You know when it just taste like grass? Yeah no, I gotchu baby. 


HEALTH BENEFITS

Spinach: high in fiber, zinc, and vitamins A, C, E, + K. Basically good for about everything in your body!

Avocado: heart healthy monounsaturated fatty acids ( good fats! ) high fiber, antioxidants, lowers cholesterol, has more potassium than a bananas and great for skin!!

Matcha: contains caffeine without the crash. It’s high in antioxidant (3x more cancer fighting antioxidants than normal green tea ) and a great metabolism booster. Matcha gives you energy while naturally detoxifying your body.


KALE TIP 

︎The lime juice makes this smoothie so refreshing and light. Great morning pick me up when I'm feeling tired throughout the day. The avocado also keeps you feeling full!


INGREDIENTS

KK: 4

Yields 1 serving

1    lg frozen banana

1    cup frozen pineapple

1/2   avocado

1/2   cup coconut water

2     tsp matcha

juice of half a lime

handful spinach

- Opt: A drop of local honey!

DIRECTIONS

1. Throw eveything in a blender and blend until smooth! I love topping this smoothie with chia seeds and coco shreds! Enjoy!
