WELLNESS
A new era has arrived, are you ready?
2018 was a rough one, and I am so happy that it’s over. It’s so refreshing to start over again with a clean slate. I have grown so much this year and I am ready to kick off 2019 with a new look!
The last time I went platinum blonde it was to get over a boy (if you know you know haha). 5 years later and nothing has changed! I’m just kidding…
It is my last semester at UT and I’m hoping to graduate and get a job in the corporate world :( That means it’s back to black for a long time. I thought why not go blonde while I can and let me tell you… I’ve been obsessed with it.

Bleaching your hair can be a healthy form of coping… to each their own, right?
I saw someone on twitter the other day tweet that instead of choosing healthy coping mechanisms, people bleach their hair instead. Honestly, I laughed so hard. But is this true? Why do so many of us dye our hair when we feel like we going through a crisis? I have to admit, sporting a new look has made me more confident and happy. I do believe that changing your hair or appearance can be a healthy way to deal with things. When my life is spiraling and I feel like I can’t get a grip on reality, dyeing my hair can give me a comforting sense of control. Can anybody else relate??!
Also, I dyed my hair because it’s what I wanted and it was for me. That’s all that matters. Do things because you like them and because it’s your life. I had a lot of people tell me that blonde wasn’t for me, or that my skin was too dark, or it’s not natural. Well thank you for your 2 cents babe, but you can keep the change because it’s MY hair! I’m not sorry I pulled off this look better than you…

My Mom Burned My Scalp
Ok, so she really didn’t mean to, it was my fault for being late. We didn’t have enough time, so she crammed 4 bleaching sessions in less than 3 hours. Being Asian, I have very dark hair, and going blonde means you need multiple bleaching sessions! If you want your hair to be healthy, you need to space out your bleaching sessions to let your hair condition and rest. I highly recommended doing that instead of what I did since it keeps your hair from over drying/breaking. My scalp ended up burning towards the end but like Beyonce said, pretty hurts! The fact that my hair is still soft and healthy is truly INSANE. MY MOM IS A MAGICIAN Y’ALL. I am in LOVE with the color and I’m so appreciative to have my mom as my hair stylist!
P.S. if you ever need your hair done, let me know and i’ll get Kim to hook ya up! We love Kim, she’s the best.

Last thing! I think I know what I’m closing my blog posts with. Let’s start with this question. What does money, ganja, and veggies all have in common? Well—
